I’ve been searching high and low for Apothecary Jars with reasonable prices. Most of the ones I’ve found online and in store ranged from $ 20.00-40.00 EACH. That is until we decided to take an impromptu trip to Grand Forks, ND yesterday. Since it’s only a two hour drive for us, the boys were pretty good during the drive there and back.
We don’t have TJ-Maxx in Canada, so it’s the first store I usually go to after crossing the border. I never ever leave that store empty handed. So I’m casually walking down the aisles, browsing the clearance rack of shoes when I notice the home accents section. I thought to myself, should I take a look? Maybe I’ll find something I like. I wasn’t expecting to see Apothecary jars at all and lo and behold, there they were! Since TJ-Maxx generally has discounted prices I knew the jars would be priced reasonably. But when I checked the prices on the glass jars I couldn’t believe my eyes!
Here’s a picture of the two Apothicary Jars I purchased from TJ Maxx. You can clearly see the price tag on the taller jar with the amount $5.99. My jaw nearly dropped! The smaller jar was 7.99. I grabbed these two immediately after spotting them. They did have a few other jars on display. Some taller, some wider, but there was only one of each kind on display. I didn’t bother asking a sales attendant if there were more stocked in the back as I was far too excited about my recent finds. With prices like that, you can’t go wrong! I also managed to get my hands on this lovely white porcelain cake pedastal. I plan on using it for sugar cookies but I think it makes a great serving platter for any dessert! This beauty was only 7.99!
Now I’m not sure if all TJ Maxx locations carry the same merchandise. If you plan on visiting a store near you, I’d suggest calling ahead just to make sure they have what you’re looking for. What I love most about these items is that they are so versatile. They can be re-used for parties in the future, or even as home accents. I love finding great deals like this! We had to travel a few hours to find them but it was so worth it!
